Just curious if this is acceptable, but did this become a forum for game questions/help/discussion or a bulletin board for Bigjakkstaffa to post about every new game release?
If posting about every new game release is okay, I am going to head over to Gamespot or EB Games and look at their to-be-released list and post about every game that will be released, got cancelled, etc. Basically, if a game is mentioned, I'm going to post something as useless as game release information.

Stuff like this needs to be carried out in private messages and IM chats. Not on the public forum. Big Jakk has always been a very helpful contributer of articles and news on new technologies and games that are to come or have been released. Personally, I find it very helpful as it always gives me something to read or tells me something that I didn't know.
As for you, 2 things are working against you right now:
1. BigJakk is a moderator and has a post count in the 10's of thousands. Technically, he could ban you for this post (not that he would, but I'm just trying to make a point)
2. You have a post count of about 300. On sysopt terms, that puts you in the noob category. Noobs don't have that much say so as to what is and is not posted. (unless you want to post something stupid like this, which will just make everyone mad)
I have nothing against BigJakk. I'm sure there are tons of people that would agree with me that he is a very appreicated member of this online community. If you don't like what he's posting, stop checking this site. No one is forcing you to come here.

bulletin board for Bigjakkstaffa to post about every new game release?
He post about games that we have talked about in the forum, or Posts about games that people are interested in as do I and any other member does.
if a game is mentioned, I'm going to post something as useless as game release information.
How is it useless? do you think watching the News on TV is useless? do you think buying a gaming Mag is useless? if you think posting about games or release dates of games in the "gaming forum" is useless why click on them? if you dont want to read them dont click on it, and go to a diffrent site do the same thing, except its not useless there is it? you tend to find things like that in a "gaming forum" not to be blunt or anything but is there a reason behind this stupit Post?

Is that a yellow fluid in your cheerios? BJS is being helpful to MOST, and annoying only YOU. Sounds like a majority to me... I recommend milk next time.

i'm still trying to decide how the content BJS posts isnt totally relevant and helpful to the gaming section.
so what shall we talk about here then mastermind? heaven forbid we speak about game release dates in the GAMING section... what sense would that make?
are you just jealous because big bad ol' jack beat you to some great news you wanted to share? i know that's my only problem with him, and if that's all one can call him on, he's an excellent member indeed.
you're so asinine it's simply staggering. do you live to agitate others?

I just asked the question, I didn't use curse words, berate anyone or call anyone names.
I didn't see anywhere in the forum rules where asking a question about the forum is a "bannable offense".
I find the new game release information "useless". I see the same information on a dozen other sites throughout the day and when coming here lately, all I find are links to the same articles.
Perhaps in hindsight I should have made this a “vote” thread and asked "how many of you find new game release information useful or useless?". That way I wouldn't have to deal with the fallout from people who cannot simply express their own opinions, and instead start personal attacks and call for me being banned. Preposterous.
If other forum members posted back and said "no, I don't find it useless, I'm glad Bigjakkstaffa posts" that's fine by me. Instead, I get personally attacked, which if my post causes me to get banned, then those people should be banned as well.
At this point one of the forums admins should lock the thread. The rest of us shall move on with our lives and I'll get back to posting helpful information to other forum members when I'm able to.

you attacked a valued member\moderator's contribution long before you were attacked - now shut up and take it on the chin like a man!
next time you want to know about a game release, maybe you should check here first. :p

For a start it's nowhere near a "ban-worthy" thread, for a second i havent banned anyone in a long time and i'm not about to start waving my ban stick about over something as minor and inoffensive (to me at least) as this.
Bish, Bash, LOCKED
