Hello.. I'm trying to enable the UDMA but don't know how and where to find it..
I got an EPOX MVP3C motherboard and everytime I install the bios update that comes with my motherboard ( which has the option of installing UDMA ) it just won't boot.. I tried enabling the DMA support under Device Manager ( under disk drives "Generic Drive" ) and when I boot, still the same thing and sometime my comp runs on DOS Compatibility mode.. I saw on some messageboard that enabling the DMA under Device Manager is not the same as enabling the UDMA.. Please help me out.. And also when I did a benchmark test on my HD on Sandra, it was second to the slowest ( just a tad above the none UDMA ).. /forum/frown.gif
A reply would be very much appreciated.. Thanks in advance..

To enable UDMA first be sure that your motherboard supports it. If it does look for an option on your BIOS to enable it. Also your HD must support UDMA to take advantage of it. Then go to Win and on device manager check the DMA option on the HD and CD (if you want too or if it can handle DMA access).

Restart and that should do it.
