I have 2 logical drives on an old hard drive. One is OK ("D" drive), one is corrupt ("E"). WHen I look using Win Explorer or DOS, the drive name, directories, file names are all garbage for "E". Norton wants to reformat. I believe the files are OK, just the directory is hosed. Anyone know what I can do? Not ready to punt just yet..Ken

Have you run scandisk to see if it prompts to repair?

If you have, and it doesn't...I would reinstall WIN and see if can then read the partition.
