I have a BX6 rev2 mbo with a dual thermistor probe connected to r2 header. One probe to vid card other to cpu.
When the switch is in position to measure vid card everything is fine when set to read cpu temp my fans switch off??? then switch to vid card they come bak on??

any ideas please???????/

can you switch the thermistors position so that the present video probe is now on the cpu? if you can, and the problem is still there, only now on a different probe, maybe the probe wiring is faulty. can you say rma? /forum/frown.gif

oh, and you might want to check for fan control settings in the bios if your cpu fans are temperature sensing (usually three wire). it may be that your cpu is running real cool and the bios thinks it can turn off the cpu fans.
