I have a new intel camera plugged into my USB port (which I've never used).

My win95 "device manager" shows no USB hardware, and the plug-n-play of win95 doesn't detect my camera.

I can't find where in my bios (award: atc-6220) to enable the USB (if that's the problem) or if it's a win95 issue?

HELP. how do I get my computer to recognize that I have a USB. My win95 is OSR2.

To your question - yes - both can trip you up.
You may require a BIOS upgrade - check you motherboard handbook, web site, and the bios manufacturer's web site ( comes up upon boot, press the pause key to take notes ) Most old (1994 & before) BIOS do not support USB on PC's and require an upgrade.
Your motherboard may require jumper setting to enable the USB port, but I doubt it, and lastly, not all "versions" of win95 support USB, only the last few. Does your win95 cdrom have "with USB support" on it - if not, you're probably out of luck.

Also most devices now are Win98 only. You may want to check and see if your USB ports are connected. Some mobos have USB but do not connect the cable for them (AT mobos I believe- I've never run into this with an ATX). If you really want to get this camera working- my advice would be to upgrade to Win98 if your USBs are connected. Good luck.
