maxtor 32gig+ w/ award bios

hey i was having problems getting my Maxtor 36 gig HD to install correctly on my Gigabyte GA-6BXD using the award bios. There was a note in the maxtor box stating about some problems and it referred me to the maxtor website, they told me to go to the mobo's manufacturer's website and the web address for gigabyte on the mobo box doesn't work!

ANY HELP???

search www.yahoo.com (http://www.yahoo.com) for the gigabyte site, also, check the bios manufacturer's web site for an upgrade.
As a last resort, you might spend a few bucks on an add-on IDE port for one of your expansion slots and make sure the bios on that add-on board supports your drive.
