After I do a clean install of windows 98 I get Device Manager telling me that Advanced Power Management Support is not working corectly. Clicking "force AMP 1.0 mode" takes care of this. I'm just wondering what's going on here and if it's anything I should really care about. I havn't noticed anything bad happening. Thanks.

Did you try disabling it in BIOS?

Some motherboards require different jumper settings to enable or disable this feature - check the motherboard manual for these, or possibly the manufacturer web site for any details.
