My company updated from Office XP to Office 2003 last week. One of the associates is unable to do anything with reports; open, edit, create. When you try any of the mentioned the computer displays a windows error box asking if you want to send the error to microsoft. All other functions seem to work with no issues what-so-ever. This is what all I've tried with no success:
Compact and repair database
Converting database to 2002 - 2003 file format
Uninstall and reinstall Office 2003
The issue is local to the computer not the user. I logged in his machine under my username and had the same issue. Running the same report from my workstation, and had no problems performing the function.
The associate said the last time they ran the report, last week before the update, they had no problems.
Computer: PIII 866, 256MB memory, Win2k sp4 (maybe sp3), Office 2003 Pro.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
