I have seen this problem posted here from time to time. The System/Performance tab will say something like, "Drive C is using MS-DOS compatibility mode file system" which it indicates will hinder performance.
I had the same problem and tried everything that was suggested to me, but no luck.
Then I took off the second party bios that came with my harddrive (EZ-BIOS I think) and the problem was solved. Now it says the usual "Your system is configured for optimal performance."
Just wanted to let people know that if they are having this problem to remove any second party bios they might be using.
