I think I may have a Open Proxy running on my computer.
Here's what I've tried so far without any luck:
- AdAware
- ShieldsUp from grc.com
- Malicious Software Removal Tool from microsoft.com
- Symantec Security Check from symantec.com
- Full scan with Microsoft AntiSpyware (beta)
- Checked for critical updates from Windows Update
- Full system scan with Norton AntiVirus 2005
I have the Windows firewall turned off but the Symantec firewall turned on. I'm running Windows Media Center Edition. I have a limited knowledge of how this works. I went to openrbl.org but I didn't understand what to do there.
How can I remove the Open Proxy?

Here's why I think I might have a Open Proxy:
Your IP address has been banned!
The Forum automatically bans any IP address that has an open proxy.
Open proxy's can be installed by spyware, trojans, or viruses, and you most likely don't know that you have one.
To remove the open proxy, download and run AdAware to remove the trojans/spyware that installed the open proxy.
Once you have followed the steps above you should no longer be IP banned from The Forum, unless you have been banned due to abuse.
Additionally, your IP might be banned for other reasons if running AdAware didn't work. To check your IP to see why it might be blacklisted from our site, please go to openrbl.org and type in your IP and click submit.
If you have any problems please email {email address edited out} for help.
