I got a Albatron KX18D Pro Motherboard....

It's been running Slack 10.x for 2 years (on 24/7), and things were fine.. until i blew the system with a can of air and did some maintinence on it ;\ [dust removal, fan replacements]

Now, what's happening now is when I press the power button (or hotwire the thing by connecting the PWSW prongs together) it turns on and then turns off right away.... if it's powering on and off, does that mean it's detecting a overheating issue?

btw... i did get it to start though oddly, checked temps and they were around the 40 degree Celsius mark... so didn't look bad at all..... the main q would be....

should I reseat the CPU Fan and/or the CPU?

Make sure that the CPU fan is spinning of course. <- I am sure you have done that. Also check to make sure the you did not blow loose the wire that goes from the MB to the CPU fan that tells the motherBoard that the fan is spinning.

;\ those wires are old.. somewhat.. dust must of started eating into them ;\ but the powering on and instant off is the mainboard's cpu protection scheme, yes? :) [can't verify it yet from albatron, not alot of support on it anymore]
