I have an OEM version (4MB) AGP Diamond FireGL 1000 Pro card. I have been experienceing MANY game freezes with it. Mostly in games with DirextX 6. Games like Tomb Raider 3, Blood 2.... games with high horse power needed. Is it my lack of RAM or the card itself. Has anybody else had this problem? My system specs are as follows:
Intel Pentium 2 300 (overclocked to 338)
64MB of SDRAM
FireGL
Intel 440LX chipset
Win 98 Second Edition
Using the newest drivers from Diamond
Running at 1154*867 at 32bit color

Most likely every gamer in the world has had that problem at on point in time, yet we need more info, what MB/HD/CPU, etc... are you using as well as what version of WINDOWS?
ALWAYS look for pathces, and this is a very common problem and two of the 292921 things that can cause it is overheating (ew especially at THAT RES! at least switch to 16bit!) also try disabling external cache in the bios, if it still freezes then eneble it again cause it helps your system alot (if that is the prob though then there prob a patch for it)

Could steem from the fact that some lx based m/b's do not supply enough power to the AGP slot. Also, do you have the latest DirectX version installled (DX 7.0).

Make sure to also check these proerties in you system bios (some may not apply to your m/b):

-Disable video caching
-Disable video shawdowing
-Disable pallete snoop
-Disable byte merging
-Enable assign video card irq
-Set AGP aperature to half of the amount of system memory you have. If this doesn't help, try setting equal to system memory.
