Less than a year ago, I upgraded my pc, Including a new motherboard and CPU. I noticed that the Win95 time display is losing time. I've reset it a couple of times. Is this indicative of the CMOS battery going bad?

Nathan 10-17-1999, 10:30 AM Try turning off the power management features in CMOS and in Windows. There are two possible places for it in windows. Look under control panel. SAHALL98 10-18-1999, 09:04 PM My old motherboard did the same thing, even after a battery change. I found the best thing to do was install Socketwatch...it updated the system time every time you log-on the internet by using the government clocks. Here's another choice, a program called Dimension 4 (http://www.tucows.com/perl/tucowsSearch). It's freeware and it's neat. JP SysOpt.com
