Check in Scheduled Task on My Computer if low-disk notification is enabled. It has a value that if certain percentage of the hard disk is filled this program will check at windows start-up and suggest compresion. Just disable it and everything should be fine. If this isn't the solution well wait for another post /forum/smile.gif

i think it is installed with MS Plus. Try running the setup program for Plus, and i think (not positive tho) that there is an option to add/remove each program within the Plus package, and from there you can remove the compression agent.

Does it only happen on startup? if so you can try to shut if off on in the startup list. If it is not listed in programs/startup, you can uncheck it by going to 'run', and running 'msconfig' and going to the startup tab, and from there unchecking it and see if it still happens
