Hi there,

Can anybody help me...

I have just upgraded my PC to an MSI KT3 motherboard, with a 2.2Ghz AMD AthlonXP+ processor (266FSB) and 1Gb of PC333/2700 DDR Ram...

The problem is that the system will only recognise my processor as a 1500 AthlonXP+ running at 1.35Ghz and only 512Mb of RAM...

Can somebody let me know the BIOS setting to get my system working to what it should be... I dont want to overclock, just to get it working...

I have tried changing the CPU FSB Clock to 133Mhz but then the system doesnt boot... Maybe there is something else I have to do which I dont know about...

Many thanks,

Tim

Updating the BIOS is number one. Next, be sure that the memory is set to SPD - do not try to set it manually.

Be certain that your heatsink is flush and flat on the CPU.

in addition to what BPB said, check the core voltage settings.
