After initial POST, while still in DOS, this message appears:

While initializing device WCPUL29X
Windows Protection Error
Need to restart computer.

I restart, same.

What does this mean?

~~EDIT: Found it. Running a PII 300 (not mulitplier-locked) chip which is incompatible with WCPUL2. Uninstalled WCPUL2, OK.
