I am a SciFi fan of Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis. I like the new Battlestar Galactica too but its not the original. After reading some interviews it seems SG1 is going to run into a 10th season and the other two shows have been set up for a third season.

Anyone else here a fan of these shows?

:x l really was into SG-1 then it just went of the boil the last 18 months or so.
different uk channels were showing different series and well l lost interest.
We r behind in the series here but l didn't realise it has gone double digit.

Never really took to Atlantis - over contrived.

Go Sam Carter. :x http://cartoons.ashtonpress.net/sgp90.jpg

I like the idea of Atlantis in the fact that the main enemy is not a false god enslaving the people. Even the new season of SG1 deals with the Ori wanted to be worshipped and destory all who do not follow the path of origin.

It sounds like you have seen Atlantis so you may have seena wraith. The wraith came to exist by a mutation. A bug fed on people and its genetics were altered. At least this enemy is based around a new idea.

Still a bit too blatantly money-making if you ask me.
Galactica just got too silly too quickly.
I wasn't aware that SG1 has been renewed again. I'd have thought that the main actors would have gotten sick of playing the same characters for over a decade with no break. Hell, richard dean anderson is 55 and is realy starting to look it, especially compared to series 1.
What will be next? Stargate - Walking Frame?
Still enjoy it though. I just there was a bit more variety. Each season or two sees the introduction of another big enemy and its defeat in plots that seem to be basicaly modifications of previous ones.

I kinda lost interest now that Mitchell is head of SG-1. I'm glad Jackson stuck around and that Carter has rejoined the team. They need to bring back O' Neill and kill off Mitchell.

I still have not decided if I like the new season of SG1. I do like Atlantis.

I agree SG1 is different without the team that has made it so popular for the last 10 years. (The show debuted in 1997 I believe)

whoa! what a season ending Stargate had. Teal'c is really in deep doo doo now. It's over way too soon though.

Just a few motnths to wait for the 2nd part of the show. I expect the device built by Carter to function and most likely they will kill the prior on the Sodan planet then they will use it to eliminate the new Jaffa Prior - Garrick (or however you spell it).

The season started slow but seems to be getting better. Doesn't seem to bad now but the original team is still better IMO.
