I just installed Linux version 6.5. From what I understand Linux gave me the option of going from Windows 95 operating system to Linux. Since I installed Linux I cannot go to Windows, I cannot uninstall Linux. What can I do to get back to 95?

What distro of Linux? Can you still boot to Linux? Where do you have LILO installed, or were you using a boot disk?

I don't mean to cause offense here, but by the sound of your post you don't seem to be that well read in Linux. Perhaps you should've read a little more before you jumped on the bandwagon.

As long as your Windows partition is intact, the following should allow you to boot to windows again:

Either A) Get a Win9X setup boot disk (the one that came with your computer) and boot from it, or B) Make one yourself using another Win9X computer.

Make sure "fdisk.exe" and "sys.com" are both on it. "format.com" would be nice too.

Boot from the floppy, and perform the folling commands (without quotes):

"fdisk /mbr"

then

"sys c:"

That should do it, except now your Linux partition will be unbootable except via a Linux Custom boot disk, or LOADLIN.

Hope this helps.

And next time read up on the consequences before doing drastic system changes.

Good advice Dominus!

Once you have access to Windows again, I recommend that you install "Boot Magic" by Powerquest. You can probably download it for free. This little honey of a program will allow you to manage booting multiple OSs with the greatest of ease, and it looks cool too.
