i have setup 6 partitions with win2k. when trying to backup with ghost to an identical drive i could see that around 26gb were not used. partitions on backup-drive would be increased.
what went wrong? should i had to use ontrack diskmanager or gdisk?
can i simply backup that full-drive to the limited one?

that means you didn't use at least SP2 to do the setup, OR your bios doesn't support 48-bit LBA.

Look at the link about OS and bios limits:

i used the original win2k-cd and not the newer win2k-sp3-boot-cd.
sorry i forgot to say: i have solved that using partition magic.
