This is my problem:

When I go into Dial-Up Networking and 'Create a new Connection' the 'Add New Modem' wizard appears. Why it appears I don't understand. I already have the modem installed in the unit. I have tried support on MS's website (as poor as that is) and I have only been able to dig up this one support article on the topic (Q129605).

Any ideas?

Can't you just cancel out of the modem detection and continue with DUN?

If you can't, then just let it find a modem for you and then you can remove it when your done /forum/wink.gif Then reassign the old modem to the DUN settings.

It doesn't work that way. Even if I let the wizard find the modem it still doesn't get listed in the drop down list. I can let it add them....then manually remove them...doesn't help...
