I have an old PII 400MHz with 128Mb RAM and would like to turn it into a router, right now I am using XP Pro but I would rather use something, is there are stable router software that supports PPPoE and UPNP?

you can try smoothwall. Not sure about the UPNP support though. they are testing version 3.0 and I haven't seen it since version .9 or so. heck it's free. :p

It does not support it yet but according to the site they are trying :) I will bookmark it.
