Greetings,
After installing a new HD, a second CPU and install WIN98 & WIN NT4.0 SP4 (every other hardware is still the same), I notice the following phenomenons in both OS:
- Whenever I download any file larger than 2 MB, the transfer rate startup at around 5KB/SEC for the first MB and decreasing progressively to an inadmissible level below 1KB/SEC even during off-peak hour connection.
- With my previous HD, I have been able to connect to the internet at 115200 (Showing by the Dial up networking monitor status window), not anymore since I change the HD, upgrade the Motherboard BIOS (all BIOS setting to Defauld value), unsuccessful upgrade modem BIOS to v.90 (the upgrade process was halted with some error message, however the modem is still working as 56K flex).
I also try a TweakDun v2.22 demo version and it doesn't help much.
Any idea what are the possible cause for those problems?
STAND ALONE DUAL PENTIUM II 266, #9 REVOLUTION 3D, QUANTUM FIREBALL KA PLUS, 128 MB RAM, SOUNDBLASTER 16, REALTEK 10 BASE T PCI ETHERNET CARD, JATON 56K FLEX MODEM.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Tuan
