I disabled it to install my SB AWE64(ISA) Anyway, my question is. Since I already have the connectors for the onboard chip, is it possible to run BOTH sound devices? Are there advantages/disadvantages? I was thinking that I could get the 2nd gameport on the onboard chip to have a 2nd joystick connector as well...? Bleeding Edge 10-12-1999, 11:01 PM Yes. It is possible. There's mixing software that actually can use both cards for 4-channel recording. Two channels for each card. I'm not certrain about the gameport. I think it would be a "go" as long as you have the resources. With enough IRQs or Win98s ability reroute them, you may only need to free up one. Possibly two.
