Hello All,

I am currently working on a consulting project and I need some advice for my proposal. I am looking into getting my client Window 2003 Server. I will need about 15-20 CAL's. Does this make sense to do it this way or get 2000 server and the CAL's? The server will mainly be for Quickbooks and storing of files. It might at a later date be used for applications also. Also Any recommendations on an IBM server? They really like IBM and I don't want to upset my client since Im still in the bidding process.

Thank you for your time,

Chuck

Sounds like you are in the wrong consulting business if you can't decide on the software and hardware for your clients.

You could be right. This is my first attempt to get into a business I love. But I dont have alot of confidence. Soo. I am going to make a decision and go with an X series ibm and 2003. If they dont like it I will have to try something else.

Thank you for your honesty Sterling.

No one was ever fired for buying IBM.
