Everyone hard at work I guess, or sleeping (perhaps concurrently).
Sad. All those people working, slaving away hard each day to make someone else rich.
Fools!

This is why capitalism won't ever work in the long term.

Think about it. When in history, besides in modern times, has a lack of money had the power to kill you?
Money used to be something useful, something extra; if you had money, you could have nicer clothes than you would have made on your own. If you had money, you could have glass windows in your home; maybe even someone to help you work. But, money or not, you always had food, because you went out and killed it. You always had water, because you went out and drank it. You might not have lived an easy life without money, but you could live well enough.

Not now. Now, here, money is a frigging necessity. You aren't even permitted to just live in the woods and kill your own food; you couldn't live without money now even if you tried. And self-sustaining communes and things like that are usually blown up by the government.

I am not a routine person, yet I am forced into routine by the absolute survival necessity of having a job. I value learning, and wondering. But my learning and thinking and trying to help others is not good enough for this society; in fact, often it is only by virtue of being a complete prick that I can get the money I need to survive.
Nice people usually die poor. Self-serving hypocritical jerks often get rich off the backs of those who aren't.

Just life and my general disgust for the way we are all forced to live it.
We are forced to worship the allmight dollar above all else and seek it out to the detrement of everything else.
This behaviour is encouraged when it should really be reviled.

Greed is a powerful thing, but I don't think "We are forced to worship the allmight dollar above all else". Me for example could come back here when I'm done as a contractor and make a ton of $$$, but I don't feel as though I need it. Not sure what your beliefs are as in the way of religion, but some seem to have a higher calling that doesn't make them dwell on things of this sort (that's not to say that they are not forced to).

How long do you think you could survive without the things that money buys?

You forgot about:
Food
Petrol
Gas
PC Upgrades
Water
Land Rates
Clothes

Feeling destitute yet? The whole of society's goals are now seemingly money and materialisticly oriented. Its all 'for the good of the individual' rather than for the good of everyone as a whole. Its bloody sick when you actually think about it a bit.

Lithium is not going to help. Maybe a lobotomy but it's hard to remove something that's not there to begin with. :rolleyes:

You could end up like Wertz. :D

Back in 1972 I went to a Pharmacy in Greece looking for headache medicine and they sold me a package of Mandrax over the counter. I took 1 tablet and it wiped me out. I passed out on a bus and ended up miles from my destination. When I walked it felt like I was walking on a trampoline. I gave them some Hippie druggies who were used to barbiturates.

I didn't know about this stuff:

MANDRAX (methaqualone)

Also known as:

* Mandies,
* Buttons,
* Whites,
* MX,
* Mandrakes.

Mandrax is a sedative and hypnotic drug which suppresses the central nervous system. In South Africa abusers powder Mandrax tablets, mix it with Dagga and smoke it in a pipe. This is known as a White Pipe. Broken off bottle necks are most commonly used. Mandrax heightens the effects of Dagga.

Side effects:

* Impairment in the ability to concentrate ·
* Dizziness ·
* Nausea and vomiting ·
* Weight loss and emaciation

Mandrax is very psychological and physical dependence producing.

Where to get it ;) (http://www.drugaware.co.za/mandrax.html)

Jack Daniels and Qualudes = Biscuits and gravy. Breakfast of chumpions. I took a qualude or two back in the day, good thing they banned them really. Made me take back things I never stole.
