I'm running windows 3.1 on a 486dx66 I had to format the 1 gig hard drive using disk manager software in order to recognize the whole drive. ( FAT 16 filing system). If I upgrade to windows 95, does it have to be a FAT 16 version (95A) or can I use 95B, a FAT 32 version, the only one I have.

Any version of Win9x will recognize a FAT-16 partition. I used to run Win98 on FAT-16 because it shared a partition with OS/2-Warp. You will loose a little space, because of larger disk clusters. Since you have a 1 gig drive, you'll only loose a few meg as compared to FAT-32. Good Luck.
