Did you ever install XP x64? I am dual booting with it and it is getting closer to primetime. Not quite ready as a gaming OS just yet. I have the farcry 64 patch on my E drive and I must say it looks decent. My 3dmark scores are a little lower on 64, but I figure that is the WOW hit.

Still no mouse drivers so my MX510 is running on generic drivers on the 64 partition. As soon as it is good to go I'll delete my XP pro install and go total 64.

I am just wondering if you installed 64, and if you did how you like it?

Installed it, quite happy except for my printer and scanner not yet having drivers.
I installed to a 40Gb drive, dual boot seems to work just fine.
Slightly slower, not something you'd ever notice without benchmark scores though, and I guess when native 64bit apps come along it'll be the other way around.
The biggest annoyance is that none of the major CD Burning apps like Roxio and Nero will work as they all use 32bit drivers.
I downloaded a free burning program called CD Burner XP Pro (http://www.cdburnerxp.se/download.php?latest) which works really well.

You can run the extra FarCry bits on windows 32 though :)

Yeah, I have the same issues. I'll dual boot until everything is sorted. It should be ready by the end of the year I figure.

Zybby, you do know about the flash player 8 beta right? It is hard to find on macromedia's site but it works great with 64. That was a missing feature that has been fixed.

Flash is the spawn of satan.
There is NOTHING worthwhile about flash that makes up for the sheer volume of websites that use it for stupid animated intros, zippidy doo dah roll-out menus and other junk like that which hogs up bandwidth.
Ownership of Flash should be given to JM so it will immediatley become faulty and nobody will ever use it again.

Zybby, Flash does have some useful purposes even though I agree most of it is BS. I have flash autoplay turned off via popupcop which is an old program I bought way back. It does allot more than block popups, it dumps all cookies on exit except for what you name as exceptions. It kills flash autoplay, kills eyelets and about 100 more irritations.

I bought it to kill popups but I still run it for the added features. Popups are a dying irritation but the program is still one of my must haves. :D

Theres not much that flash is useful for that you can't do more efficiently in other ways.
But like most things, its totally ruined by stupid twats who use it badly and the jerks who pay them to design web pages.
