Ok I have a memorex CRW-1622 have it set as master on it's own IDE. I have been able to make many playstation back up with it but only one music cd. It came out perfect. But I have sence made 15 or so coasters. I have tried Nero, NTI, CDRwin. I copy to the HD first then to the CDR. Have tried all different extraction speeds and can only copy @ 1x or 2x. Tried them both.
The problem is that the finnished audio CD is full of hissing noise. I have DMA turned off and am running nothing in the back ground. I'm using win98se. Oh and have tried extracting form the cdr and also my 32x toshiba.
I don't no why I made one flawless copy and no all I get is junk.
Does any body have any suggestions? Or have hade the same problem.
Any help would be great.

Thanks
Walter

Sounds like a bad drive. It's wierd that it made one good disk but I would send/ take it back and get another. If it weren't for the hissing cd and the amount of coasters, I'd say it was bad media. Good luck. Dave
