I was able to get ahold of this cult game that I myself have never looked at or played and have it installed on my computer and it goes to show you that there are still alot of good games from yesteryear out there that are amazing and graphically splendid if not just fantastic and exceptional.

The main reason for posting this thread was to get some feedback on what those who have it and played it think ..???

Normally , I am not much into this kind of thing....( vampires and the living dead ) , but this game is special. The graphics like I stated are exceptionally good... and visually stunning as are the cinematics and the game itself so far makes me laugh at what she is able to do and the special effects. Real time action and interaction with alot of the objects ( particle physics I think is the term )

I would play this for nothing more than I just like great graphics and cinematics in games.

Kind of a steal for $10.00 or so at Amazon ;)

I have not played the game beyond the initial training. That was only because I had a friends who wanted me to fix his system so he could play this game.

It looked good to me. Very good considering the time the game was released.

I fixed his system about 6 months (or a little longer) ago.

He bought the game when it was new, was able to play it once and it crashed every time after that. I got him a Radeon 9800 Pro, installed the chipset drivers, the ATI drivers, removed junk and he has been playing it non-stop since. When he is done he is going to give me the game.

I personally really enjoyed Blood Rayne, I'm not a big fan of BR2 though, BR1 wwas very fun, I especially loved the mech battle part, very cool, and the story wasn't as dry as BR2 either. :t

Originals are often better tha sequels.... I replayed to my friend last night that I think I had read alot of reviews ( I sometimes remember things for whatever reasons ), and the second edition may not have lived up to the hype.

Again, game developers often try and change things or add things..that only impede the gameplay or control. i think its a god idea to keep as much as a successful original conceppt as you can and only add a new stroyline and do not touch what worked so well in the original.

I just got Vampire : Bloodlines.. and that game is something strange. Yes it has good graphics if yet still kinda peculiar ..but actually I haven't got into the game enough to make any real asssessment other than its free wheeling style play ..with rules of a sort .... etc...
The opening scenes and poster style pics. are quite stunning and good pieces of artwork for sure... but honestly .., I am not really into the Vampire thing too much.

Something out there for everyone I suppose.

Both of the Vampire games are quality in my mind - regardless of what many people say - in particular Bloodlines, while plagued with bugs - is still oen of the best games i've played in recent years
