I have a WD 80G SE HDD, that is less than 6 months old. I had to reformat C: and do a fresh install of XP, and now it clicks when it is accessed for data. It has never been drop, kicked, abused or cursed at. It just clicks when it is accessed.
The clicking sound is very audible over the fan noise. I have the same HDD in another machine and it is almost silent when accessing for data
Now... should I start transferring data in preparation for the crash?
