What version of Windows are you running? If you are running 95 you need to download and install the AMD patch for processors faster than 300mhz.

I make no claim to be a hardware expert, but if you have merely installed a new mobo, keeping everything else intact, then it could be that the game created some type of config file which was customized for the old board, but the new board has messed things up. I'm guessing that it could have stored stuff like IRQ settings and addresses that your new mobo has reassigned, especially if it's the type of game that has a multitude of video and sound parameters for you to configure. It could also be that the AMD 3dNow! features are screwing with it if it is still expecting Intel CPU features.

My suggestion would be to re-install the game if you haven't tried it already.
If your savegame files are obvious, copy them somewhere - sometimes uninstallers are kind enough to leave them alone, sometimes they wipe the whole directory.

Good luck

I had the same problem with a similar game once. I think the problem is because the game is not 100% (or should i say 101%) compatible with your motherboard.
