Laptops are the very hardest and most expensive to try and upgrade. If you want a laptop choose one that can do what you want it to do and then just live with it! /forum/smile.gif

well thats just.......no good. ok, assuming that it is hard...is it at all possible? i know ram is pretty available for it, and modems are a cinch. but I guess i can understand if th cpu is hard to upgrade. but do the compatibilities run the same as a pc mobo go ?

The cost of upgrading individual parts of a laptop vary and invariably, are so expensive, you're better off getting a new laptop. Alot of the makes out there, in their effort to be the smallest and fastest, use proprietary parts. Mntsnow is correct. Laptops are a b@tch to upgrade. I've gone through 3 of them before finally saying the hell with it. I let the business provide me with a laptop if I need one. Hold off a little longer and purchase a new one if you really have to have a laptop.

you said you have been through three? got any lying around? =) all i need it for is to check mail and write notes during classes. I save all the pimped out gear for the overclocked comp at home =)
