No sound from SB DVD 5x

I don't get any sound from my (SB DVD 5x kit with dx2 card) when playing *.vob files or any movies.
I have a amd k6-2 300mhz fic 503+ w/ SB live, 64 meg ram, 16 meg SB banshee AGP,and win98. I have sound in all my games and everywhere else but there?
any sugestions
P.S. the knowlege base at creative sucks because it can't answer any question regarding win98.

I assume you have the audio cable connected from your decoder card to your sound card. Aside from that I can't imagine what your problem could be.
