Artz 10-07-1999, 06:24 PM Thanks, I had decided that if I had to reformat, I would not upgrade because I don't have a way the backup everything and didn't want to start over. Susan 10-07-1999, 06:27 PM You don't have to do a reformat, but make sure you have up-to-date backups ready in case you run into any problems. The process of swapping motherboards can be made more difficult for WIN when you are changing from one chipset to another. What motherboards are you changing from/going to ? Artz 10-08-1999, 01:49 PM I have a FIC 2007 w/pentium 166 mmx, ess tech sound, cirrus logic 2mb vga, supra modem and plan to change to a Shuttles 591p w/AMD 450 with same cards. I already have the new Shuttles. That's way I was planning on using it. Susan 10-08-1999, 04:00 PM You should do fine, but I will add that the first thing you will need to do after WIN stops finding any hardware is to put in that CD for the Shuttle and install the VIA drivers. Artz 10-08-1999, 09:01 PM Thanks for the help. SysOpt.com
