I just added a second hard drive and bought a new cdrom. I have a 18GB WD hard drive on primary master, a 4GB hard drive on primary slave, and a 48x Magic Spin cdrom on secondary master. When I turn the computer on everything is fine. If I go to the shut down screen and do a reboot, it will not recognize my cdrom and will lock up. I have to shut the computer off by the switch on the back and turn back on. Then everything is fine. I changed the cdrom to secondary slave and it still won't recognize it but at least it doesn't lock up. It goes to my desktop but I have no cdrom. Once in awhile it will work when I do a warm reboot but 9 out of 10 times it won't. No problems under device settings under the hard disk controllers. I am running windows 98,second editon. I have a Aopen x63 motherboard with an award bios. Any suggestions please!
