I love this web site. For awhile I lost all my bookmarks and couldn't remember the name but I have just now stumbled back into it.

I am not sure whether this is a Windows system problem or a Netware problem or an Autocad problem so I'll just ask the question everywhere.

I've got a project with three people working on it. They are each working on separate files but today one guy couldn't save his file to the Netware server because it told him it was in use by someone else. He was able to save a copy to his own c drive.

I had everyone on the project shut down in order to end any extraneous processes that might be running but that did not help. Then a second person on the same project started having that problem with her file.

Autocad used to control this kind of thing itself but now it uses Windows.

Any thoughts on what the problem could be?

Maybe the file attribute was set to read only. Just a guess

Our Novell admin here found a shareware program called WhoHasIt for Novell that allows you to select a file, and it will tell you who currently has the file open. You can clear connections through it also.
