Sorry, I haven't used my Novell skills in 4 1/2 years.

Why are you still using Novell 3? You really would have gotten some nice upgrade features in 4 and 5.

Well, It's not my box, but a good friend's store in the local mall; (I think he inherited it when he bought the business, and it's been running trouble free for about 3 or 4 yrs; if it works, . . . . ). Anyway, I discovered the module I needed was VREPAIR, which worked to get things going again, for about ten minutes. It turns out the drive is the problem. Needless to say, after mounting the SYS volume again, we copied his data to a workstation, and setup that as a temp file server. (I'm sorry if I'm being long winded, as if anyone wants to hear all this @$%&!!!!). Anyway, thanks for the reply there, oh attituded moderator! 'Till next time . . . . .

I haven't seen netware 3 since I was in high school. I have a Netware Small business server (Version 4 with support pack 9) cd set. I think Novell is better with TCP/IP. :)

I may even install it again someday.

My only experience with Netware is with 3.12, but these old servers seem to run & run & run....It's too bad that alot of people are switching to Windows servers...actually, as a tech, It's a good thing people are switching, it keeps me alot busier! Thanks for the replies, guys!

I still don't unsterdan why people are so stupid to switch from a Extremely reliable enviroment to something that causes havoc all day long... namely Microsoft World...
