I had to reload WIndows 98. After reloading it I tried to use my scanner. I got an error message from the scanner software stating that I needed to configure my parallel port as EPP or Bi-directional. I did not change my BIOS and it still lists my parallel port as an EPP configuration. Windows 98 device manager still lists it as a standard parallel port. I removed the port and reinstalled it. It still list the parallel port as a standard port. My scanner worked fine before I had to reload Windows 98. Please help me, my email address is stryker@theriver.com

Did you reinstall the scanner software? That might help since reloading Windows may have changed some sort of configuration.

dont forget to uninstall it as well, there is a prgram called registry crawler you can get a trail version of at cnet.com all you have to do in it is type a name and boom.. it will goto all the entries for that program for you aka IT ROX!!! im even thinking about registering it, but make sure all the reg. entries for it are deleted when you re-install
