I'm asking for suggestions here. I want to know of websites you have found which are interesting, entertaining, and fun, yet non-technical and somewhat clean.
I was showing my Mom a story on snopes.com and after she saw all the neat stuff there she wanted me to give her the link. I built her a PC a while back, and while she does some light surfing and email, she doesn't know how to find mindless entertainment like that.
Any suggestions for websites which you find fun, interesting, sometimes mindless, but relatively clean?

Some good videos here:

You'll need a decent 'net connection though.

If all she wants is mindless junk, give her a link to this OT forum....
That or teach her to google. Searching for "funny" and or "mindless" would bring up enough hits to last a lifetime.

That might not be the safest thing to do. If she doesn't have safe search enabled, who knows what might show up. C'mon, this is my Mom I'm trying to help.
What I had in mind was something like refdesk.com (http://www.refdesk.com) , which has lots of 'daily diversions', or maybe some daily comics, gossip, etc.

Thanks, FF !
That's exactly the response I was hoping for.
I was able to look at most of those links from work (on break, of course! ) and they weren't blocked by our network websense crud. I'll put those into her browser bookmarks to help her find them. She's still learning how to navigate around the internet, and this gives her some starting points.
