Hi Guys (and other Gals?),

I have a neighbor who has a WiFi with DSL in his house using Linksys
device on his hard wired dekstop. His kids pcs have a WiFi usb client adapter on each of their pcs. He is willing to share his wifi with me but we are both at opposite ends of our respective houses and I had a friend over with laptop who said his signal is strongest in my living room (closer to his house) but about 30 feet away from where MY pc is located.

Can I use a longer usb cable or extension usb cable to connect to the same type of Linksys client usb adapter that his kids have, and place the client adapter (with its short antennae(sp?)) in my living room and just run the cable down the stairs and plug it in to my pc's usb port?

Tnx to all!!

Sorry. I'm certain that the ISP involved here would not approve thus making what you are wanting to do illegal.
