OK...I just recently moved from one system to another the Creative 5x DVD drive. The audio on the other system was working fine so I know that there's nothing wrong with the drive. One the original system the drive was hooked up to a Sound Blaster 16. On this system I have the audio going into a Diamond MX300 sound card. For some reason I am only getting sound on the left channel with both DVD movies and Audio CDs. If I play wavs or mp3 files I get sound from both channels so I know that my speakers are functioning properly. Any ideas? Has anyone run across this before?

Cable problems, perhaps? Is it plugged in right? If you can, use a different audio cable from the DVD to the sound card. If that doesn't pan out, try a CD-ROM and audio CD to make sure the source is not the problem. Also check the control panel for multimedia to make sure you don't have one channel turned down or off on the CD audio in.

ive seen this before, try going into your computer and replace the audio cord from the SC to the CD-ROM/DVD, if that doesnt work, check and see if there is a patch for either of the hardware prog's, there may be a compatibity prob. it may even be the MB isnt compatible with working with both of them. (most likely the cords though)
