Click to See Complete Forum and Search --> : New machine startup problem!
I have a BP6 mother board with a Celeron running on it. Along with a DVD drive and a SCSI drive. When I was loading the sytem all went well except the fact that there are three items on the hardware list that have the yellow dots next to them. Two of the items are "PCI Mass Storage Controller" and the other is "PCI Input Controller". I am using a Adaptec 2940u2w SCSI controller but it is working ok. I have tried removing them and restarting but it loads them again and can not find the drivers for them.
Any help would be great!

TC,
The reason you are getting yellow ! points next to the PCI MASS STORAGE CONTROLLER is because it either has a resource conflict or you need to reinstall the drivers for the controller card. I would suggest that you download the NEWEST drivers from the manufactures webstite and save them to a floppy. Then delete the devices with the exclaimation points from the device manager and reboot. Windows will then "find the new hardware" and try install the drivers. Just direct windows to your floppy with the newest drivers on it.

The PCI Mass Storage Controller errors sound like the onboard ata66 controller, just update the driver and point it to the floppy that came with the mobo.
hope this helps
Thanks Guys Its fixed, I had to load the drivers for ATA66.
