I am considering changing my old dependable 98SE for XP or 2000. The few times I had problems not easily resolved with 98, I would just format the drive and start over. Very easy process. How is that accomplished in a NTFS OS? Is there a format command of some sort?

When you run the XP or 2000 setup, there is a screen that will ask you to format. You have the cohice of fat32 ot ntfs. FDISK and FORMAT are included in setup for these later OSes.
