I just put a cd-rom in my computer (i have a dvd and i wanted my cd-rom back cause it read recorded cd's faster) and now it runs really slow. Like it takes 15 minutes just to boot to my login screen. I am running win98 with 233mhz. While I was putting the cd-rom in I did rearrange some of my pci and isa cards. Help please, it is so slow it is unworkable, it can not do anything.

Re-arranging cards without removing the devices from the hardware profile first is something you shouldn't have done.
Go into the harware profile (right click on my computer, select "properties", then one of the tabs up top) Delete the entries for the hardware that you moved, then reboot and re-install the drivers as Windows detects them as it loads.
Next time don't move cards around unless you remove their entries first.
