Hallucinations

Anyone have these?
For a little while now I've hallucinated regular paterns like brick walls and floor tiles kind of warping and slowly swirling. Kind of cool rather than worrying or distressing :)
No invisible snakes yet though.

I have noticed that for many years but only after watching other moving objects for a while like for example I have a large 6"x 48" belt sander that when I use it for a while it has that effect on me. Watching a drier at the laundromat will do that too. I also sometimes get a strange reaction from eating wild tomatoes. I get a kind of a tunnel vision where my peripheral vision is distorted but not my center of view.

I get the tunnel vision thing, but its not distortion but a dimming around the periphery. As soon as I concentrate on it, the dimming goes away. As for the rest of it, I don't need to consume anything or look at something in motion, things just distort.
I might see what my GP says about it.
Who knows, I might be insane.

Which in any case, makes people saner, not the other way round.

Actually, if I just space out I get some weird stuff in my vision but it is usually when I just stare and not focus on anything. As soon as I focus it clears up.

I am old enough that I have had a bout or 2 with Mr. Sid back in the day so I always attributed my space outs to that. Sid and I were pretty tight for a few years. :x :r

I've only ever used pot, and never very much or for extended periods.
Have been on anti-depressants (like most people) but they screwed me up too much for the benefits to outweight the side effects. Been almost 6 months since I took any.
Its just that these wierd warping hallucinations have only really become obvious and distracting over the last 2 months or so and I can't for the life of me pin down any external reason for it.

Get checked out. Vision problems can signal anything from diabeties to a brain tumor. Before my wife was diagnosed with her tumor she was having some strange vision problems, more of a partial blackout in her case though.

BTW, I can't take anti depressants either. Nobody deserves to be that laid back. You could tell me my house was on fire and if I was full of Paxil I would just thank you for telling me, then walk slowly to the door.

The ADs just made me feel nauseous, unable to think straight and always sleepy. Never relaxed though. In fact they made me feel worse because I always felt ill and fuzzy minded which annoyed the heck out of me.

Yeah, I got the fuzzy headed thing but I wasn't sleepy with them. Fact is man when I first started taking them I couldn't sleep. There are some people that they do wonders for. I wasn't one of them.

I just ceased to care about anything. I got canned from a job for the first time in my life while taking them. I just said what was on my mind no matter what that may have been. I just became too honest and too relaxed. :D It cost me a job I had worked for over ten years. Something along the lines of saying "I don't give a ferk" to the wrong person. I said it and I meant it. I didn't even get mad when I got canned. I quit taking them soon after that. I really liked that job. :(
