Modem COM3 Setting Check via BIOS?

Went into BIOS setup to see if I could check/set port settings for COM3 and didn't find anything. Had read somewhere in this forum that default could be set at 9600 and recommended adjusting and setting in BIOS. I do have the modem settings at 115200 via the device manager modem properties. Did I misinterpret something? My modem is a Multi-Tech USB 56/V90; MB ABIT BX6 2.0, WIN 98SE. Thanks

You won't find those settings in the BIOS. You are correct to look in Device Manager and make your settings there.
