Please Help... Very challenging question..

I have a 56K modem and everytime i play on battle-net my modem hangs, so I bought a new one ( PCI Motorola SM56 ) and i'm still having problems, only it get much worst cause now I can't even connect on battle net at all.. And most of the time it kicks me off my connection eve just after I connected to my ISP.. I try to re-boot and still doing the same thing especially when I open battlenet. Is there something i'm missing on my configurations? Bios setup on my CMOS maybe? Anyway I got WIN98, AMD K6-2 450 mhz on EPOX MVP3C motherboard 512 L2 cache and 64MB dimms.. Please help me out.. I would really appreciate it.. Thanks...

Very interesting problem indeed...is it only occuring when you connect to battle.net?

Yes.. And everytime I open my IE5 or Netscape 4.7.. sometime what it does is it even kick me off my ICQ and instant messenger then it'l disconnect by itself.. I installed the driver and everything that needs to be installed.. Additional info, I have it on COM 2 IRQ 10 along with my pci steering.. Next to it is my 16 MB pci banshee and my ISA Soundblaster awe32.. Help me out please... Thanks.. btw, thanks for replying drizzle.. you're the first person who replied to my problem..
