Hi,
I just bought a new PC, and I'm having a big problem....I'm about to go NUTS!!! I am writing this message from my old PC. Ok, I'll get to the point. When I got my new PC, I hooked everything up, and everything worked fine, PC booted up, went into Windows 98, the whole 9 yards. So since I wanted to replace the ATI AGP 8mb video card I had in my new computer with my TNT 16mb PCI from my old PC, I proceed to do so. I changed to VGA video mode through Windows 98's settings, and shut down the computer. I then took off the case, took the ATI card out of it's AGP slot, and put the TNT into a free PCI slot. I also installed the modem and CD-R from my old PC. I hooked everthing up CORRECTLY, and when I turned on my computer everything sounded like it was booting up ok, but when I turned on my Monitor, it gave me a message saying, "No signal input or cable disconnected", (This is the same message it gives me when I turn it on without hooking it up to my PC) even though the cable was perfectly connected!!! Even when I tried to hook it up to the ATI card again, it still gave me the same message! I even took my old 14" monitor and hooked it up to both cards, and it did the same thing...I am completely stumped....I cant imagine what I could have messed up, I barely did ANYTHING!!!! And also, I took my TNT 16mb video card and hooked it up with the PC im writng with now, and it works perfect....ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!
Thanks,
Andrew

Check the VGA cable for bent pins at both connections.

Look in the BIOS and see if there is an option to boot up the video card. If so make sure that the setting is set to PCI/AGP for the TNT card

do u have the manual for the Motherboard? First check if there's a jumper settings for AGP card... Then check your cable on the monitor.. Try to use the monitor on the same computer you have.. And this is a big possibility, make sure that you inserted the pci video card on the pci slot.. Now that happens a lot and that might just solve your problem.. To do that take off your motherboard out of your case. Although it's kinda messy but it worths the try... Hope that helps..

I believe LED is right on the money!! your Bios is probably setup for AGP as the primary or boot display device, change it to PCI... yes, please tell us about your MB.
