Creative SoundBlaster Audio PCI 64D
I am going to replace my Gateway MB with a Abit 440 BH6. But my Gateway MB's sound is built on the MB. Which brings me to my question.
Which sound card is equal or close to the ONBOARD Creative SoundBlaster Audio PCI 64D.
Thanks.
By the Way...I just upgraded my processor from a Pentium II to a Pentium III. But under "System" in Windows 98 it still shows Intel Pentium II instead of III?????
What's up with that?

if i remember correctly, win98 doesnt recognize the p3, so it displays it as a p2 (the closest to it that it knows). this "problem" was fixed in win98 second edition. its not a big deal, and doesnt affect any performance tho, so i wouldnt worry about it.

If you can find an Ensoniq PCI audio card with the 1370 chipset you've found an equal card.
If you want a more available/more current card then get an Creative PCI128, a slight step up.

Get an Aztech PCI-128, I have one and it overclocks extremely well on a BH6.
