ok this new pc is gonna drive my bonkers. This soyo 6ba+111 wouldn't supply power to my cpu fan on a 200watt powersupply(manual says this is all I need). Ok so I put in a 250 watt powersupply and the cpu fan spins now, but the screen still doesn't come on. I've tried my ati rage card then just in case popped in a new vga card but the screen still doesn't come on any tips. any soyo owners out there that could give me advice on whether they've had probs with powersupplies.
Original power supply may have been bad?
Wondering. I had problems like you mention but not with that setup. A PNP monitor can be blank, dead blank and still be on.
CPU fan was not working right - still not working right??, also the mobo may be defective. Return if in doubt. Have you got a
Volt Meter?
Good idea to connect the Monitor to another puter see if it wakes up. Also go through the
mobo POST proceedures for beeps etc if ok then insert a Video card and connect monitor etc.
Hope that helps /forum/smile.gif

you have probably done this,
reseat ram,
disconnect hard drive, CD drive nad Floppy and then see if it fires up into post, if it comes alive connect up drives one at a time till monitor fails to boot up,
if no boot up without these drives connected suspect Mobo

well the first thing you may wanna check on that is your jumper settings, next make sure that the video card is properly inserted on the mobo, third it might be your bios ( which I would recommend just return your mobo and get a new one ) , fourth the memory make sure they're firmly inserted and last would be your cables meaning the HD cable that's connected on your mobo, floppy cable and stuffs like that... Otherwise I don't know what else to tell you.. hehehe.... Hope that helps.....

On a off chance/guess.... Does the power supply have a Input Voltage select switch? (120/230V AC). make sure it is set correct for your location. I had the same type symptoms one time on a system that came back from a trade show overseas. After replacing /swaping the world, discovered the PS was set to 230V input..oopps hehe /forum/wink.gif check monitor too although most have a "Universal" AC input.
